Ill or Infectious Children
If a child has an illness the following exclusion periods apply.
Children's Illnesses
| Disease | Minimum Exclusion Period |
| Chicken Pox | 5 Days from onset of rash |
| German measles | 5 Days from onset of rash |
| Measles | 5 Days from onset of rash |
| Mumps | 5 Days or until swelling subsides |
| Scarlet Fever | 5 days from starting antibiotics |
| Whooping Cough | 5 days from starting antibiotics |
| Impetigo | Exclude until skin is healed |
| Sickness or Diarrhoea | Exclude for 48 hours after last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting |
| Head lice | Exclude until treated and that there are no Head lice |
| Thread worms | please treat and inform staff so parents can be informed there has been a case in the group |
Sickness or tummy upset 48 hours from last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting. And any other infectious disease as advised by your medical practitioner.
